CancerNetwork spoke with Matthew Allaway, DO, founder and CEO of Perineologic, about a new prostate cancer biopsy technique that uses the transperineal approach to detect cancer in harder to reach areas of the prostate.
Allaway touched on the American Cancer Society’s annual report that shows the rate of advanced-stage prostate cancer cases are increasing in recent years. He also detailed a companion study to that report, and walked through the specific details and benefits of this biopsy technique.
