Show Notes

Steve Yellin is an author and coach to many leading athletes including PGA TOUR and LPGA professionals.  A former tennis player, Steve founded and developed "The Fluid Motion Factor" - a program that teaches about the process in the mind that, when accessed, allows golfers to not only access their best swings, but to make any self-corrections in their swing, without conscious effort.

Steve joins Mark Immelman to discuss a concept related to Fluid Motion Factor - the Science of Silence.

He begins his explanation of the concept with an anecdote and a quote from Tiger Woods - a quote that basically proves the value of "mental silence."

In their discussion around the subject Yellin addresses the following:

  • The Dynamics of Motion and how the quality of silence during the swing determines the outcome of the shot
  • How the Brain produces Motion
  • The CEO of the Brain vs the "Magic Cerebellum"
  • The Two Phases of Learning
  • Mental Wholeness and Making a "Golf Smoothie"
  • The Flow of Intelligence between the Mind and the Body, and
  • Muscle Memory and Motion
