Broadway United Methodist Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is reviving its historic clock tower, a landmark loved by the community since the eighteen nineties. The clock, however, has stopped ticking due to lightning damage. To raise funds, theyre hosting a nineteen fifties-themed sock hop on April seventeenth, featuring swing dancing lessons and a chance to preserve a piece of local history.
