Nebraskas Madeline Petrick, a senior at Gretna East High School, has been named the states Student Journalist of the Year. She led the schools online newspaper to state championships and is now aiming for a third straight title. Petrick, inspired by her TV reporter mom, will compete for the national title at Boston University and in Minneapolis.
