Jared Dressman, returning from an EMS conference, witnessed a massive 30-40 car pileup on I-80 in Cass County, Nebraska. Despite whiteout conditions and icy roads, he and Greenwood Fire and Rescue members braved the chaos, checking for injuries and saving lives. Dressmans SUV miraculously avoided damage, thanks to a fire engine blocking behind it. Nineteen patients were treated, with all released, and four at Bryan Health, two in fair condition. Fourteen agencies assisted in cleanup, and officials handled six other crashes, including a DUI arrest.
