36-year-old Omaha resident Martin Zak faces first-degree murder charges after his adoptive father, a local deacon, was found dead. Zak was denied bond and could face life in prison if convicted. Hes also charged with using a firearm, fleeing arrest, and vehicle theft. The deacon was reported missing after not showing up for work or a youth group event. Police found signs of violence at the family home and later discovered the victims remains. Zak was caught after a car chase in his fathers stolen vehicle, with bloody clothes found nearby.
