A severe head-on collision in Cass County, Nebraska, leaves a young man critically injured. A pickup truck collides with a southbound semi-truck on Twenty-fourth Avenue, following a failed passing attempt. The driver and passenger of the pickup were not wearing seat belts. The southbound driver, a sixty-five-year-old from Omaha, was checked at the scene but refused hospitalization. The young driver was airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The crash, caused by dry road conditions and reduced visibility, resulted in road closures. No charges have been announced yet.
