The book is read in schools around the world, but the film has been forgotten. The House of the Spirits, released on April 8th in 1994, is based in Chile and follows a cast which consists of many impressive names: Meryl Streep, Jeremy Irons, Glenn Close, Antonio Banderas and Winona Ryder.
