Jared McCains Surprising Trade: From Sixers to Thunder
In a shocking move, the Philadelphia Sixers traded guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder on February fifth. Despite his recent improvement, McCain was sent away in exchange for a 2026 first-round pick and three second-round picks. The trade occurred during the Sixers West Coast road trip. McCain, who had been recovering from injuries, found out about the deal on the team bus and felt emotional as he bid farewell to his teammates. Since joining the Thunder, McCain has played eleven games, shooting around 43% from three-point range. His former teammate, Tyrese Maxey, has shown support for McCains new role. The Thunder are set to face the Sixers on March twenty-third.
