It’s the final day of the Scottish Women’s Premier League season, and a day when Celtic could make history. Victory for Fran Alonso’s side over Motherwell will secure a second-place finish and deliver Champions League football to the club for the first time. It would be a phenomenal achievement for the Hoops in what is only their first season as a professional club, and that is the focus for the players this afternoon (Sunday). However, an incredible run of form which has seen them unbeaten in their last 12 games – 11 wins and one draw – means that the race for the league title has gone down to the final day. Celtic need to win by at least three goals against Motherwell and hope that Rangers can beat Glasgow City in their match. And while the odds may be in favour of the defending champions, it had made for a thrilling and unpredictable end to the campaign. Learn more about your ad choices. It’s going to be okay, it’s going to be okay.’ ‘I was devastated. Every time in my career when I’ve had a little injury, I always thought I would come back really fast.’ “The first thing I said to him was that I was going to miss the Rangers game.
