Off the Groove

In this week's episode, we look ahead to the three greatest days in flat track, Memorial Day weekend in Springfield, IL. Since we're talking flat tracking in the land of Lincoln, we thought it may be worth putting in a call to one of our favorite flat trackers, and Illinois native, Robbie "Bugs" Pearson. From running into riders pulling up to staging, to running up from with some of the greatest dirt track riders in the world, hear first hand how motorcycle racing has shaped his life and why he feels he is in the best position to succeed in his second full season with his new team.

In this week's episode, we recap some racing from southern California and chat with flat track statistical guru, Bert Sumner. He explains where he found his passion for flat track motorcycle racing, how he became a race promoter, and what fuels his love for preserving the history of our sport. There is no part of a flat track event this guy hasn't had his hands in and a flat track family member everyone needs to know.

This week we catch up with former Grand National Champion/current Super Hooligan rider, Smokin' Joe Kopp. Hear how he got into dirt track racing as well as several other motorcycle racing disciplines, what its been like to watch his 14 year old son Kody find his own success in the sport, and what he plans to do after he's done racing super hooligans.

This week's episode is JAM-PACKED with international flat track talk. First, we catch up with Oliver Brindley, who is driving through California on his way to prepare his bikes for an outlaw race with a pretty hefty purse. Then, we talk to Johnny Lewis just before he hops on a plane heading to spend almost a month in Europe. Finally, to top it all off, we talk to the Director of DTRA Series himself, Anthony Brown. We get to know the series runs across the pond and quickly realize we have a lot in common with our British fat track family.

In this week's episode, we catch up with the one and only, Kathy Deubler, or as she's known in the flat track community, "Gram." Since this weekend's race is right in her back yard, we thought it would be good to check in with her prior to the Super TT tomorrow. She lets us know her thoughts on the new track, the 2019 season so far, and much, much more. This episode will quickly become one of your favorites!

He tells us what its like growing up riding and racing motorcycles in the midwest, how much he's enjoyed racing the Super Hooligan series the past several years, and where his head is at heading into round three in Austin, Texas this weekend.

We talk to him about the rough road that led him to become the person he is today and his expectations with the new team for 2019.
