Kurt started gambling before age 11—using video-game skins, offshore sites, and VPNs to play blackjack and roulette in secret. A huge early win hard-wired the chase. By college, isolation, flipped sleep, auto-spins, and nonstop “action” replaced classes, meals, and hygiene. When the money ran out, theft began—then arrest and county jail. Kurt explains why gambling wasn’t about money; it was about anticipation and escape, often numbed by drugs after losses.
