Summary: We return to 1 Kings to the time after the division of God's people into Israel (North) and Judah (South). From chapters 17-22, we have he extended narrative of the wicked reign of King Arab in Israel, during which the Lord raised up the prophet Elijah. Introduction: Elijah's credentials as a true prophet of the Lord to Israel we established even as the Lord is at work to bring life-giving resurrection to sinners all over the world.
