Show Notes

Tom Hickman is the founder of Bali Hope, which brings together extraordinary people for unique endurance events that make change happen. One of these events is the Bali Hope Swim-Run, which will see around twenty teams of two race across land and sea to protect the future of the islands of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. The vision of Bali Hope is to help transform these islands into an example of what’s possible in the fight against plastic pollution and the ocean crisis.

Jeremy and Brad will be one of the teams of two competing in the Bali Hope Swim-Run in December 2019. The event will see them them literally tethered at the hip for a total of 20km of running and 3km of swimming.

In this chat, Tom talks about the scourge of plastic pollution on these islands, the Bali Hope origin story, and some tips for Jeremy and Brad as they look to take on the swim-run event.
