Show Notes
Dr Paul Maxwell is the Strategic Science Manager at Healthy Land and Water, which is an independent organisation dedicated to improving and protecting South East Queensland’s environment. Paul coordinates the research and monitoring program that delivers the Ecosystem Health Monitoring Program, which is a comprehensive and scientifically robust waterway monitoring program that provides a regional assessment of the health for each of South East Queensland’s (SEQ) major catchments, river estuaries and Moreton Bay zones. Every year, the results are synthesised and communicated through the Healthy Land and Water Report Card.
In this chat, Paul describes the health of the South East Queensland catchments and waterways, the key pressures on their health and what can be done to better protect them.
