Show Notes

This is the second and final part of our two-part chat with Dr Katie Dafforn, with part 1 released last week.

Dr Katie Dafforn is a marine environmental scientist and science communicator working at Macquarie University. She’s a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Sciences and a member of the Centre for Smart Green Cities. Katie is also a researcher at the Sydney Institute of Marine Sciences, where she is Deputy Director of the Sydney Harbour Research Program. Her primary focus of research is on human impacts in the marine environment. This super interesting chat was on the edge of Sydney Harbour, but goes deep under water and into the sediment - talking about stormwater pollution, 'legacy' pollution and dead zones.
