This artifact was once the most sacred physical object in ancient Egypt And then it vanishes. Just POOF! There one minute, gone the next. In this episode, we break down what the Benben likely was, how it Egyptian construction and design for thousands of years, and why its influence shows up everywhere in Egyptian architecture. Specifically, one of the strangerst relics of Cold War Intelligence: Numbers Stations. For decades, shortwave radio listeners around the world have reported hearing anonymous broadcasts where a voice calmly reads strings of numbers into the airwaves. There's no station identification. Just a string or groups of seemingly random numb ers, sometimes proceeded by music or a tone, and then....nada.
