Sugar-sweetened beverages are the single largest source of added sugar in the American diet and provide no nutritional value. UCSF now only sells zero-calorie beverages or non-sweetened drinks with nutritional value, such as milk and 100% juice in its onsite eateries, including cafeterias, vending machines and retail locations.
