Sergeant Declan J. Coady, a 20-year-old Army Reserve soldier from Iowa, tragically lost his life in a port attack in Kuwait during the early stages of the war with Iran. Coady, who was posthumously promoted to sergeant, was part of the one hundred third Sustainment Command based in Des Moines.
