Show Notes
High school students from Valley Christian in San Jose have developed an AI-powered drone system to combat wildfires, inspired by their personal experiences with local blazes. Their team, Wildfire Quest, uses drones to drop fire-retardant balls on wildfires, extinguishing them in minutes. With support from sponsors like PG&E and partnerships with Kaizen Aerospace and Sensory AI, theyre set to compete in the finals of the XPRIZE Wildfire competition, aiming to suppress a fire the size of the Bay Area in ten minutes.
