God has a lot o names and we only use a few.. I learned in my first attempt to write a worship song.. I liked it but the rhythm I get excited about is hard for the congregation to follow.

Here’s my vote for who should be in a place to remember. Greg Eklar and Psalm 150. SCB guitarist Randy Thomas was also in it at one point. Never heard better music from a “Christian Band”

The Story of Sweet Comfort Band continues… about our first project

What Life was like in a rock band in the early 70’s. Sweet Comfort was a 3 piece band when we recorded “Golden Ages” for Maranatha 5 (a multi artist release). Guitarist Randy Thomas would be added before we began to support this recording.

Our Final full original project as the Sweet Comfort Band but not the last songs recorded. And now a documentary is coming for our years together.

After releasing a song on the Reagan Movie Soundtrack last year & releasing a New Song & Video/Tribute to Christian Artists we’ve known who have gone before us. We were asked to do a documentary of the Decade plus years of the Sweet Comfort Band

Just some words that quickly uncluttered my own mind

yer feeling disoriented in your heart n mind… so you start cleaning the garage.

The Song is called “Feel The Love” .. and I say “Feel the Chills” at the end!!! Chuck’s Lead Vocal and Harmony’s from Tommy Coombs and Jay Truax is what The Jesus Revolution Movie never captured about Love Song!!

Now the late Chuck Girard, primary singer in the band Love Song wrote the most compelling Christian song I ever heard. Spoke to me more than all the sermons I sat under. The sweet serenity of a presence of God I felt in this song drove me to cross the country in search of my own place in serving Jesus as he did.

Got word today of Chuck Girard’s passing. Singer Songwriter for the Jesus Music Band that inspired me most. LOVE SONG. This song made me leave the east coast at 19 and drive to California. Just to be where that kind of “Jesus music” started.
