In this episode, we discuss the Trump administration's move to revoke some visas of Chinese students in the United States, particularly those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party, in an effort primarily aimed at protecting intellectual property.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has also signed a new law aimed at protecting Texans from foreign political coercion and intimidation. The bill creates new ways to prosecute transnational repression and the unauthorized enforcement of foreign laws. The law takes effect on Sept. 1.
