President Donald Trump on Monday said he may impose an additional 50 percent tariff on Chinese imports if Beijing does not withdraw its retaliatory levies on U.S. goods. And the three major U.S. stock markets opened lower but saw gains later in the morning amid uncertainty over recent tariff announcements.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet with Trump on Monday. Netanyahu said on April 6 that he hopes the president will ease the tariffs he imposed on Israel.
