In the Middle East, Iran’s Supreme Leader has rejected President Trump’s call for an unconditional surrender, as deadly exchanges between Israel and Iran continue. Speaking today, President Trump said Iran had reached out and proposed coming to the White House for talks—but added that it’s “very late” for that. He also warned that the U.S. “may or may not” launch a military strike against Iran.
The Supreme Court on Monday, in a 6–3 decision, upheld Tennessee’s ban on so-called gender-affirming care for minors. Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the majority, said the law banning puberty blockers and hormone treatments for minors does not violate the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. The ruling aligns with the Trump administration’s earlier rollback of protections for transgender individuals.
The Federal Reserve has unanimously voted to keep interest rates steady at 4.25%. Fed officials still project two rate cuts before the end of the year, while President Trump continues to push for rates “two points lower.”
