President Donald Trump has announced 30 percent tariffs on goods imported from Mexico and the European Union, set to take effect on Aug. 1. He warned the rates could go even higher if any country responds with retaliatory tariffs.
The Trump administration says it will appeal a California judge’s order halting immigration arrests without probable cause. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also said Saturday she’s in talks with five states to establish detention facilities modeled after Florida’s “Alligator Alcatraz.”
