Dit weekend opent in de Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam een grote expositie over Suriname. Kunstredacteur Sandra Smallenburg onderzocht in Paramaribo de herkomst van de tentoongestelde stukken. Wat zij zag viel niet mee: museumdirecteuren, kunstenaars en conservatoren in Suriname maken zich grote zorgen. Het cultureel erfgoed, zeggen zij, staat op instorten.
