In this week's khutbah, delivered at Southlake Islamic Center in Texas, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan expands on an important verse from Surah Al-Ma'idah which - whilst addressed to the People of the Book - applies to all Muslims too:
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ
Say, “O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes in your faith... [5:77]
The underlying theme of this khutbah is that of balance, and not going to extremes. Ustadh reminds us that even something which is good for us can be 'bad' if not done in a balanced way.
