Legendary college football coach Lou Holtz, known for his one hundred wins at Notre Dame and building traditions there, passed away at eighty-nine. Holtz coached at six college programs and the New York Jets, earning two Bear Bryant Awards and two Eddie Robinson Awards. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in two thousand eight and worked as an analyst for CBS Sports and ESPN after retiring.
