Ep 130Noted - Episode 129: Blues v Avs & Jets
EThe boys breakdown the last two losses and what it means for this season and the offseason.
Ep 129Noted - Episode 128: Blues v Sharks, Kings, Ducks and Avs
EIt's been a mixed bag of performances. We break down some of the highlights as well as play a little fantasy GM.
Ep 128Noted - Episode 127: Blues v Sharks and Leafs
EIt's official, the Blues are buzzing. Huge 4-game win streak underscored by big performances by our goalies, young swedes and the top line. We continue to cruise and make the race interesting. Long shot, but there's no quit in this Blues team.
Ep 127Noted - Episode 126: Blues v Capitals
EHOFer pitches a shutout, Berggy gets another assist, Stennberg falls just short of a Gordie Howe Hat Trick, Snuggeruud snipes another and we had fireworks all over the ice on Bobby Plager night. The Blues are 9-4 in their last 13. We're on a nice little run as the playoff picture becomes more of a fantasy than a reality, but you do have to love the way the Blues are playing.
Ep 126Noted - Episode 125: Blues v Flames and Canucks
EWe had some mixed results on the Canadian road trip as the Blues take 3 of 6 available points. We're still getting strong performances from our top dogs but the depth scoring just hasn't been there to get us over the hump. We breakdown what we liked and didn't like from our trip to the North as well as a little fantasy GM.
Ep 125Noted - Episode 124: Blues v Jets
EThe Blues take the L in Winnipeg in a hard fought game where we just came up short. We fought to the last whistle with Holloway scoring to bring us within 1 with just under a minute to play. However, the early mistakes proved costly and we just couldn't get over the hill. The Noted guys break down the performance, highlight player performances and discuss what went right and wrong.
Ep 124Noted - Episode 123: Blues v Canes and Oilers
EIn a stressful week of hockey, the Blues take down two of the best teams in the league, with incredible goalie performances from Binnington and Hofer. The first line stays hot and we started getting some contributions from our depth players as well as Cam Fowler going on a 6-game point streak. If we gave up on this team, I'm glad they didn't give up on each other.
Ep 123Noted - Episode 122: Blues v Isles
EThe Blues blow a 3-0 lead in OT as the Isles take the game at Enterprise on an emotional night for Brayden Schenn's return. We played hard and had some big contributions from our top line Forwards and Defensemen, as well as a stellar display of goaltending from HOFer, but in the end it wasn't enough. Back to the drawing board as we continue to push for something that is rather hard to describe.
Ep 122Noted - Episode 121: Blues v Ducks
EThe Blues took on the young bucks from Anaheim and did so emphatically. One of the best games of the season with big contributions from the top line, 3rd pairing defense and Joel Hofer. We discuss the Robert Thomas Interview on Jeff Marek's the sheet, as well as the redemption arc for Jordan Kyrou. Let's play some puck boys!
Ep 121Noted - Episode 120: Blues v Sharks and Deadline Day
EThe Blues have dealt their Captain, Brayden Schenn and Assistant Captain Justin Faulk in an emotion week that culminated with saying goodbye to valued members of the organization. We break down the trades and the OT win against the Sharks.
Ep 120Noted - Episode 119: Blues v Kraken
EThe boys jump on to talk about the shocking turn of events with the deal in place to send Parayko to the Sabres, and subsequent refusal to waive the NTC that killed trade in its tracks. We also breakdown parts of the game against the Kraken and the sudden emergence Logan "Mayday" Mailloux.
Ep 119Noted - Episode 118: Blues v Kraken, Devils and Wild
EWith the trade deadline looming, the Noted guys breakdown the talks around Robert Thomas, some of the performances from individual difference makers and some Olympic talk on this episode of the podcast.
Ep 118Noted - Episode 117: Blues vs. Preds, Jackets and Stars
EThe Blues are playing an exciting brand of hockey with contributions up and down the lineup right now. They aren't winning games, which is probably for the best, but at least we're watching a team that is interested in playing some offense and getting key pieces on the board. We talk about recent performances, future moves and some Olympics in this edition of the Noted Podcast.
Ep 117Noted - Episode116: Blues Featuring Special Guest Trevor Kraus
ETrevor Kraus joins the podcast to talk about the Blues recent string of games including the win against Panthers in spectacular fashion. We break down the run of form, Blues coaching, young players and what comes next for this organization.
Ep 116Noted - Episode 115: Blues v Stars and Kings
They were well fought games with big contributions from our young players including Dvorsky, Stennberg and Jimmy Snuggeruud with veterans like Pavel Buchnevic, Schenn and Kyrou chipping in as well. However, it wasn't enough for this Blues team as they drop 4 straight in relatively entertaining affairs. The special teams remains an issue, but the Powerplay managed to get some Mojo going. In the end, we were outshined by the stars of Dallas and Los Angeles as we get a step closer to a higher draft pick.
Ep 115Noted - Episode 114: Blues v Bolts, Oilers and Jets
The Blues only take 1 of 3 in this span of games, most disappointingly losing to the Jets 1-3 in their last tilt. The Noted guys break down what's gone wrong with this team, Otter's exit and Head Coaching promotion/demotion, the offense and the future of this team.
Ep 114Noted - Episode 113: Blues v Canes
EAn impressive win for the boys as they shutout a top team in the Carolina Hurricanes as they come into town. Hofer with another shutout, putting him tied for the league lead in the category. Young players stepping up and Kyrou having a big game underscored a big W for the Blues the night after the Hall Of Fame dinner, which appears to have galvanized the group. It was also awesome to see TJ Oshie back in the building, calling a Blues game for ESPN in a full circle-type moment. Good vibes all around.
Ep 113Noted - Episode 112: Blues v Mammoth and Knights
EThe Blues have lost their third straight game for what seems like the 45th time this season. There was some fight back, but in the end it wasn't enough. The offense continues to struggle and the defense is a bit leaky. We break down the state of the Blues and Spoiler Alert: it's not favorable
Ep 112Noted - Episode 111 - Blues v Blackhawks (Special Guest Alex Shapiro)
EToday we breakdown the Blues loss to the Chicago Blackhawks with our special guest, Chicago Sports Reporter, Alex Shapiro. Another devastating loss where we can't tell which direction this team wants to go.
Ep 111Noted - Episode 110: Blues v Avs, Knights and Habs
EIt's been a hectic few days for the boys as we rung in the New Year, and we continue to be on the seesaw. Terrible game against the avs, somewhat expectedly but we responded with two great wins against top teams with terrific individual performances from guys you would expect and some you wouldn't. This was a pleasure to break down. Happy New Year!
Ep 110Noted - Episode 109: Blues v Sabres
EThe Blues go down to Buffalo in a heartbreaker. We came out strong and looked like the vintage Blues in the first period. We had a chance to tie it up in the last minute of the game, but as we've seen time and again this season, we failed to take our chance and the puck ends up in the back of our net to kill the game off. Hofer was electric, but the Blues failed to back him up with run support after playing 2 periods of lifeless hockey. It's a tough bounce but that's how she goes. Looking forward to taking on the league leading Avalanche in a tantalizing tilt.
Ep 109Noted - Episode 108: Blues v Preds
EThe Blues take down the Preds in a real redemption game against the division rivals who embarrassingly beat us in the last two meetings. Joel Hofer was phenomenal again, and Pavel Buchnevic was the star of the show as he pots two goals in this thriller.
Ep 108Noted - Episode 107 - Blues v Bolts (Christmas Episode)
EThe Blues go down to Tampa in a lifeless effort from puck drop. Discipline was naughty, shot suppression was nice. Offense was naughty. Justin Faulk was nice. It's been a seesaw season, but we're on the ride and hoping this team can turn it around in a meaningful way.
Ep 107Noted - Episode 106: Blues v. The World
The New look Note took on a gauntlet of teams in the last couple days and were able to come away with points and wins. With the young swedes producing and top lines stepping up, it feels like this team is starting to build something despite the ups and downs of the season.
Ep 106Noted - Episode 105 - Blues v Bruins, Preds and Hawks
EMixed emotions as we see the lowest of lows this season, and then get back at our division rivals, the Chicago Blackhawks in the latest tilt. We're battling through major absences on the roster, but the first line is buzzing, Mailloux gets his first and the call ups are getting on the board. It's been a weird season and we're still on the roller coaster.
Ep 105Noted - Episode 104: Blues v Bruins, Sens and Habs
The Blues take 2 of 3 and find themselves just 2 points out of a wild card spot after this recent string of games. Off the backs of performances from Hofer, Schenn, Buchnevich and Neighbours, the Blues can put themselves in a playoff spot if they can break the threshold of 3 wins in a row against Boston, with a chance of retribution.
Ep 104Noted - Episode 103: Blues v Ducks
EThe Blues had their chances and looked the better team last night, but poor early goaltending and lack of clinical finishing sunk the Blues against a very good and well coached Ducks team. We went 0-6 on the PP to the 28th ranked Penalty Kill. Hard pill to swallow, but we have to move on and get ready for Boston.
Ep 103Noted - Episode 102: Blues v Devils, Sens and Mammoth
Happy Thanksgiving to our listeners and happy 2-game winning streak for the Blues. We've been playing some gritty games and haven't always ended up on the right side of the result but we are only two points out of a wild card at this stage of the season, which is a crazy thing to say. We breakdown some of the more iconic moments from the last couple games and highlight some of the performances we thought merited attention. Let's go Blues!
Ep 102Noted - Episode 101: Blues v Rangers
EThe Blues fought back after going down 3-1 but end up losing this game in another disappointing tilt for St. Louis. There were some rough performances and some strong ones but these Blues just can't put it all together at this point in the season. We have another chance against a strong Devils team to have a productive road trip, but the playoff picture is starting to fade out of view.
Ep 101Noted - Episode 100: Blues v Islanders
EIt's our 100th Episode and the Blues delivered a memorable win with Binnington making huge saves in the dying embers of the game. Pavel Buchnevich and Schenn combined for a 5on5 goal to start us off. The Kyrou, Holloway and Suter lines are starting to heat up. Is this the start of something good.
Ep 100Noted - Episode 99: Blues v Flyers II
EThe boys drop another 2-goal lead to the flyers. This is starting to become a weekly tradition against the flyers. We had a great performance from Faulk, and a decent performance from Hofer, but it simply wasn't enough. Our top guys need to show up in a material way if we're to have any chance of doing anything exciting this season.
Ep 99Noted - Episode 98: Blues v Flyers, Knights and Leafs
EThe Blues go on a freezer, dropping 3 straight games and only grabbing 2 points out of a potential 6. It's a tough watch right now, and even harder to talk about. Join the Noted Podcast as we attempt to make sense of the free fall.
Ep 98Noted - Episode 97: Blues v Flames 11/12/25
EBinnington wins in his record setting night. The Blues 4th line shined and the defense held firm to squeak out 3-2 victory.
Ep 97Noted - Episode 96: Blues v Sabres and Kraken
EThe boys take 3 of 4 points in this two game stretch, but fall to the Kraken in disappointing, shades of game 7 fashion. The boys join to talk about Kyrou's scratch, players that are underperforming and players that are pulling the rope.
Ep 96Noted - Episode 95: Blues v Capitals 11/5/25
EThe Blues lose again. Ovi scores his 900th. A disgusting effort unfortunately. We're close to out of words and explanations. But we put in a depressing shift on this episode of the Noted podcast. The future looks bleak but we're holding out hope that a miraculous turnaround is impossibly on the cards.
Ep 95Noted - Episode 94: Blues v Oilers 11/3/25
EThe Blues are so back baby. Big win against the Oilers. Great performances from Robert Thomas, Justin Faulk, Broberg and Co. First NHL goal for the Dali Llama and Snuggeruud is coming on in a big way for this Blues team that was desperate for a win. More work to do but this one feels good.
Ep 94Noted - Episode 93: Blues v Blue Jackets 11/1/25
EThe Blues drop their 7th straight and our confidence in the team is dropping in equal parts. We talked, let's say passionately, about what was bad, some bright spots and what the team needs to do to turn things around.
Ep 93Noted - Episode 92: Blues v Canucks 10/30/25
EThe Blues drop their 6th straight game in a weird game. The boys dominated for most of the game, but still can't find a way to mitigate mistakes and keep the puck out of their net. There were some bright spots like Snuggle and Dali, but their were some ugly breakdowns as well. The Noted guys join the share their views after another disappointing loss.
Ep 92Noted - Episode 91: Blues Lose 5 in a Row
EThe Blues are broken. That much is known. The Noted guys took a break from the Pod as we celebrated a wedding in DC. During that time the Blues went on a 5-game losing streak and as much as this was painful to get through, we hope that we can commiserate with the rest of the Blues faithful as we try to piece through the last 5 games, and what the Blues can do to turn this around.
Ep 91Noted - Episode 90: Blues v Kings 10/21/25
EIt wasn't a pretty loss to the Kings, but the boys showed some signs of life there in the 3rd. It wasn't enough as we go down in OT off a beautiful 1T shot by Kempe. Binner played great, but we didn't have enough of our top guys showing up to play. Need a better effort against the Mammoth.
Ep 90Noted - Episode 89: Blues v Stars 10/18/25
The Blues get another bounce back win against Central Division powerhouse the Dallas stars. The lines were mixed, the Defense was strong and Binner showed us he wasn't nervous after a few rough outings. The Blues are back baby.
Ep 89Noted - Episode 88: Blues v Blackhawks 10/15/25
EThis was an ugly one. Some rough goaltending combined with lackluster performances up and down the lineup made this game a tilted result and not for the good guys. We lost our two opening games at home and that is not ideal. Couple of small bright spots, but otherwise a game the boys will want to put behind them.
Ep 88Noted - Episode 87: Blues v. Canucks 10/13/25
EThe Blues play their most convincing hockey game on the back of a Jimmy Snuggerud multi-goal outing early in this 25-26 campaign. Binnington bounced back and the bottom 6 showed the the Blues have the depth to be dangerous against anyone. The Blues take the lot on this leg of the Canadian Road Trip.
Ep 87Noted - Episode 86: Blues v Flames 10/11/25
EThe Blues get the job done and capture their first win of the season off great performances from HOFer, Neighbours and Robert Thomas. It wasn't always pretty but the boys went to the dirty areas and got rewarded for their effort. Great win and the Blues are on the board!
Ep 86Noted - Episode 85: Blues v Wild 10/9/25
ENot the home opener we wanted, but the one we got. The blues out chanced the Wild and were 58% probable to win the game according to Money Puck, but the only stat that matters is the score on the jumbotron, which read a savage 0-5 loss in the home opener.
Ep 85Noted - Episode 84: Blues Season Preview
EHockey is back and the Noted guys breakdown the offseason, including some of the preseason games, signings and outlook for the 25/26 season.
