Welcome to the 100th Episode of Not Your Granny's Quilt Show!Karlee Porter is a professional quilter who came to the industry in a non-traditional way. Karlee has always been artistic and loved sharing her art with her friends and classmates all through school. To earn extra money, Karlee would sell her designs and homemade caramels. When she was out of high school, newly married, and needing a job, she worked for HandiQuilter as a builder of subcomponents for the longarm machines. This is how Karlee was introduced to quilting. When she realized she could translate her drawings and art style onto fabric, she practiced for hours at work and at home to hone her skills. In 2014, Karlee wrote and self-published her book "Graffiti Quilting: A Simple Guide to Complex Designs". This year is the 10th anniversary of the first edition of her book. However, Karlee has tripled the size of the first book and the next Graffiti Quilting Class participants will receive the new version of the book in their Welcome Kit!
