Dave Chappelle's sixth (and allegedly last) Netflix comedy special, The Closer, started generating backlash almost immediately upon its release. The special drew criticism for Chappelle's jokes that take aim at the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender people, leading to protest from some of Netflix's own employees.
