Theologians have grappled with the death of Jesus for centuries, trying to put into words what it meant for the Son of God to die for the sins of the world. However, at the bottom line, it’s not so much an explanation we need but rather, courage to accept the invitation which the Cross extends – namely: to be reconciled to God, through Christ’s death.
