At one time, Jesus said some very harsh things to a group of would-be followers who, on the surface at least, seemed to have valid reasons for delaying their response to Him. One man wanted to “bury his father” but Jesus told him to “let the dead bury their dead…” Why would Jesus say such a thing and what are the implications for 21st Century disciples?
