Today’s Noon Hour of Madness & Mayhem proves once again that if it exists, Peaches and Viktor Wilt will somehow turn it into a debate about either metal or Mexican food. The guys start by giving away Aftershock tickets and roasting each other over broken VoxPro setups, mystery audio clips, and a caller who literally can’t go but still phones in to flex his answers.
Then it’s full headbang mode as they break down Lorna Shore’s new album—Peaches calls it “emotional cardio with blast beats,” while Viktor says they could be the next Metallica if they’d just sell out a little. Cue a tangent about drummers’ suffering, clean vocals, and whether “pop metal” is actually a war crime.
Naturally, that conversation devolves into Idaho Falls losing its mind over Chipotle moving into the old Carl’s Jr., with Peaches defending his California roots like he’s on trial for bringing guacamole across state lines. By the end, they’ve compared Cafe Rio vs. Costa Vita, imagined a burrito civil war, and shouted “IT’S NOT A CAR WASH!” more times than the FCC would like.
