Show Notes

People who live in conditions of social disadvantage are at greater risk of developing mental illness. Access to treatment in low-and middle income countries is limited and can be expensive. Stigma makes it difficult to secure already limited employment and education opportunities.

In today’s episode Jake is joined by Erik Schoen, where they discuss the mental health industry and culture and how their work contributes towards empowerment and community development, as well as strengthening health systems and influencing policy.
