O governo da Hungria, cujo premiê de extrema-direita Viktor Orbán define como “democracia iliberal", ofereceu ajuda para a reeleição do presidente Jair Bolsonaro (PL). A tentativa de interferência no processo eleitoral brasileiro está registrada no relatório que a ministra da Mulher, Família e Direitos Humanos, Cristiane Britto, fez de sua viagem a Londres no início deste mês para participar da Conferência Ministerial Internacional sobre Liberdade de Religião ou Crença.
