The "Magpie Parenting" Secret: How to Divorce Without Traumatising Your Kids | No Parental Guidance
In our first-ever live episode of No Parental Guidance, we are joined by the powerhouse that is Anna Whitehouse (aka Mother Pukka). Anna isn't just a Sunday Times Bestselling author and journalist; she’s the woman changing the law for every parent in the UK. We go from the deeply personal to the politically powerful, covering: The Ultimate Parenting Fail: The story involving a toddler, a Beagle named Douglas, and a finger that left Anna speechless. Dating After Divorce: How Anna "completed" Hinge, dealt with "pedestal" guys, and found a blueprint of worthiness for her daughters. The "Geriatric" Myth: Having baby #3 at 43 and the reality of waters breaking right after a stage show. Flex Appeal: Why Anna is marching on Whitehall and how we can stop apologising for the "math not mathing" between school hours and work hours. Magpie Parenting: A raw look at navigating separation and telling the children. Whether you're struggling with the school WhatsApp group, feeling the "Motherhood Penalty" at work, or just need to know you're not the only one "flapping" through life, this episode is a maternal hug (and a much-needed reality check). LIVE: Celebrate Mother's Day with us! | No Parental Guidance
We finally did it! Our very first LIVE recording of No Parental Guidance with a community of mums and all because of Tea and Toast! After our "Tea and Toast" reel went viral, we realised two things: 1) Hospital toast is a spiritual experience, and 2) Way too many of you were robbed of yours! We gathered a room full of amazing women to celebrate International Women's Day and Mother's Day by doing what we do best; sharing the absolute chaos of motherhood. From "severing yourself in half" to sucking snot out of a babies nose, no topic was off-limits. Warning TMI ahead. We discused pregnancy cravings from eating pounds of cheese to craving the smell of exhaust fumes. There's a public apology from Louise to her sister sat in the audience, talk of a butt-naked run through M&S, and the "behind the sofa" poo incident. We started this podcast because there is no such thing as a perfect parent. We are all just "walking fails" trying to find our village. Whether you're a "Cheddar" mum, a "Spag Bol" mum, or a "farted on a stranger on a plane" mum, you belong here. Did you get your tea and toast? What was your first post-birth meal? Tell us your most embarrassing "Parenting Fail" in the comments! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Lou Beckett Reveals The Brutal Truth Given to Rob in the Delivery Room | No Parental Guidance
bonusThis week on No Parental Guidance, we’re getting an unfiltered look at life on the parenting front line with Lou Beckett. From hypno-birthing playlists going completely ignored, to the first night at home descending into chaos, Lou shares it all. It’s messy, hilarious, and often painfully relatable. We also cover the everyday battles: navigating tantrums on trains, surviving homework sessions that make you question modern education, and the small victories that make parenting just about bearable like organising toys (sort of), and sneaking in a few moments of calm. Beyond the laughs, Lou shares the wisdom of experience: how to stay sane when kids push your buttons, why communication is key with co-parenting, and why sometimes the best thing you can do is take a deep breath and ride it out. Funny, honest, and deeply validating, this episode is perfect for any parent who’s ever thought, “I can’t believe this is my life right now!” Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/@NoParentalGuidance?sub_confirmation=1 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/no_parental_guidance/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@noparentalguidancepod No Parental Guidance is the unfiltered parenting podcast that says the quiet parts out loud and makes you feel a lot less alone in the chaos.
