He provides three core motivations for study: the blessing of simply possessing an affordable Bible today, the Bible's unique nature as the divinely inspired Word of God that transforms believers, and the availability of numerous translations and tools like study Bibles. Mike also advises listeners to avoid "randomly opening" the Bible ("flipping") or reading too fast without understanding, and suggests the key strategies of "sinking sections" (dividing the Bible into its major parts, like Law, History, Poetry, Gospels, etc.) and understanding the different “genres” (like poetry, which uses parallelism).</span>
