The Federal Investigation into Sanctuary Cities

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has opened an investigation into what they call sanctuary cities or jurisdictions. The Committee sent letters to the mayors of four major U.S. cities, including Boston’s Mayor Michelle Wu, calling on the leaders to testify at a Congressional hearing next month as part of the federal investigation into the status of sanctuary cities. The Wu Administration has not officially responded to the request, telling media outlets, “We’ll respond in due time.”
