John's guest this week is Patty Meyer, the savior of a magnificent estate in the woods of Naugatuck Dunes Park in Western Michigan. The Felt Mansion was part of a large estate built by a fascinating inventor and businessman in the 1920s. 25 rooms, After a history of family use, followed by being a seminary, a convent and a prison, it fell into disrepair. Until Patty Meyer happened on it on a walk in the woods, the clouds parted, heavenly music played and she realized that it was her mission to restore the mansion to its original state.
