The Mason Jar Cafe's Furry Friends Friday featuring Navia & Oreo
Navia and Oreo are two perfect pups who really need to get out of the shelter and into their forever homes. Navia is a one-year-old caramel swirl; Oreo's an 8-month-old fudge swirl. They play super well together, but don't need to be adopted together, though we don't think they'd mind hanging out and snuggling on the couch after wearing themselves out with an enthusiastic romp around your backyard. These two fantastic dogs have special reasons why they are featured this week: Navia is our longest term adoptable dog - she's been with us since April of this year, though we really don't understand why she hasn't been snapped up. She plays well with everybody and was a champion in her 4th of July foster home. Oreo is a newer resident, but he finds the shelter environment very stressful and hurts himself in his kennel. He is spending his nights with one of the staff who thinks he is just about the best puppy she's ever met! He's done well with the four other dogs in his foster home, though can be an annoyance to older dogs (what puppy isn't?) Navia and Oreo are both bully mixes; Navia is about 50 pounds and we think Oreo will be about the same. They both are mostly housetrained, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Neither have lived with cats, but with proper introductions and some training we think they might do just fine. Both are available at Berrien County Animal Control for just $30. Come meet them at Berrien County Animal Control at 1400 S. Euclid Benton Harbor M-Th 9-5:30, Fri 9-2:30 or this Saturday from 9-12.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
