St. Louis plumbing companies are pushing to loosen a county rule that limits how many apprentices they can hire, and they're right to do so. Loosening this restriction would let the market grow the workforce organically, bring more trained plumbers online faster, and ultimately drive down costs for homeowners who are already waiting too long and paying too much.
