The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is requesting public comments on the Grand Isle Beach Project. The proposed project includes the construction of up to 35 segmented stone breakwaters and 20 navigational light platforms seaward of Grand Isle to improve the performance and longevity of the island’s dunes and beach system, helping reduce future storm damage repairs.
