Show Notes
A recent oil spill in Terrebonne Parish is being closely monitored by state agencies and appears contained to localized marsh and nearshore areas. Ongoing testing of seafood, like shrimp, crab, oysters, and fish, has found no unsafe contamination, and officials say products currently on the market are safe to eat. Mitch Jurisich, Plaquemines Parish Councilmember & Chairman of the Oyster Task Force, joins Newell to give an update on the situation.
