As we celebrate Christ’s triumphal entry this Palm Sunday, we not only remember the story, but we rejoice that Christ has come to do something in our world and our lives that no one else can do. He is our Savior and King bringing us deliverance through His salvation full and free. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!

This week we choose to focus on living lives of joy. It’s the hallmark of the Christian life. It’s a fruit of the Holy Spirit and a gift from God. Joy is found in the lost being found, the broken being restored, and the run-away being reclaimed. Let’s join the song of the redeemed, the song of joy and rejoicing that plays in the heart of God and those who belong to Him. http://newarknaz.org/

We long to be free and live freely. Free from sin. Drama. Condemnation. Guilt. Shame. Worry. And defeat. Because of Christ’s lovingkindness, He is calling us to find our freedom through repentance. Let’s begin to think about our repentance. Confess your sins. Be sorry for it. Quit doing it. Turn away. Give it up and find the joy and freedom of living for Christ. Join us this week as we find freedom together and celebrate through baptism and membership.

What area in your life do you discern to be faithless? Where have you gotten off track even in the smallest of ways? Where do you distort or undermine the power of the gospel at work in your life? Confess it to God. Tell Him everything. Even the things that are confidential. Especially those things. Surrender every part. Make Christ Lord of all and follow and trust Him fully. Join us this week as we confess and uncover those places together.

This week, as we begin our Lenten series, Highly Confidential, we focus on temptation. There are things in our life that we struggle with that we have never told anybody – not even God. Obviously, God knows our struggles and others likely do too. Confessing our need to God to help us – to save us – may be embarrassing or difficult, but it is the only way that we can live as disciples. Our need is not to avoid temptation, but to confront it in Christ, trusting in Him to be our full salvation. Temptation is not a sign of weakness, but of vulnerability. Join us this week as we discover how to face temptation as Christ did.
