The New York Rangers have traded forward Brennan Othmann to the Calgary Flames for prospect Jacob Battaglia. Othmann, a 23-year-old forward, was the Rangers 16th overall pick in the 2021 NHL draft. Despite challenges breaking into the NHL lineup, he scored one goal and two assists in 39 games. Battaglia, a 19-year-old forward, has 12 goals and 16 points in 22 games this season for the Flint Firebirds in the OHL. He previously captained the Kingston Frontenacs.
