Matt Snell, a legendary New York Jets running back, passed away at 84. Drafted 3rd overall in 1964, he spent 9 seasons with the Jets, earning 3 All-AFL selections and 3 All-Star nods. Snells biggest moment came in Super Bowl III, where he rushed for 121 yards and scored the Jets only touchdown, helping them stun the Baltimore Colts. His son confirmed his passing on Long Island. Snells legacy as a Jets Ring of Honor member and a key figure in the AFL-NFL merger lives on.
