New York Jets Interest in Alabamas Ty Simpson: A Private Workout and Dinner Await
The New York Jets, with their second overall pick in this years draft, are not planning to draft a quarterback. However, they are showing strong interest in Alabamas Ty Simpson, who they will meet with at sixteenth pick. Jets scouts attended Alabamas pro day, and a dinner and private workout are scheduled in Tuscaloosa. General manager Darren Mougey, head coach Aaron Glenn, and offensive coordinator Frank Reich will join these meetings. Simpson, ranked second behind Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza, met with the Jets at the NFL Combine and expressed his desire to play in New York.
