New York City police officer, Major Sorffly Davius, has tragically passed away in Kuwait due to a medical episode while serving with the U.S. Army National Guard. Davius, who joined the NYPD in 2014 and worked in the seventy-ninth Precinct, was remembered by Mayor Mamdani, Police Commissioner Tisch, and Governor Hochul for his dedicated service to both his country and the city. He was also hailed as a devoted husband and father. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
