Federal Judge Dismisses Most of Lawsuit Against Trump Administration Over Hudson River Tunnel Project Funding

A federal judge dismissed most of a lawsuit filed by the Gateway Development Commission against the Trump administration for withholding funds on the Hudson River rail tunnel project. The court found six out of eight claims moot because another judge had temporarily restored the money. However, two claims survive, including one for added costs from last months work stoppage and another alleging a breach of good faith duties. New York and New Jersey also filed a separate suit to safeguard construction sites. This week, a federal appeals court rejected the Transportation Departments request to halt payments once more.
